The Harlequin by Laurell K. Hamilton

January 29, 2009

Book 15 of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series.

Here we come to the 15th book of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. I would like to say this first: if you don’t like the sexual turn it’s taken, why are you still reading it? If you’re still reading and interested in the series, just wait until you see what she does this time. And, even if you don’t like all the sex, you’ll be pleased to hear that there is definitely less than in the last few books.

Are things over for Richard and Anita? I think so. Anita destroys all chances of them possibly getting back together.
Ever.
Maybe.
Laurel K. Hamilton loves to keep us guessing with interesting twists and turns that nobody but her could ever imagine.

The Vampire Police make an appearance, and so does Edward. You know what that means. Death, and lots of it.
But, why?
Does it have something to do with the enigmatic Harlequin? Read it and find out.

There’s definitely less sex than the last few books, which is a plus for a long time fan. The book has very interesting twists and turns, like why do we not only get Edward back but Olaf joins the party. It’s all tied to seemingly forgotten Church of Eternal Life founder Malcom.
I found it to be engaging and though provoking. Where’s the line between love and lust anyway?

Rated:3.5 Bats.
